Anthony Mackie will transfer his West End production of Macbeth to Broadway, marking a return to theatre after a long absence. He will play the title role, with the run scheduled to continue until July 2027.
The production began its run in the West End before the Broadway transfer was reported by Playbill and Deadline. The move marks a significant moment for a performer who has spent years in front of a camera.
After his Broadway commitment wraps up, Mackie has confirmed he will film Avengers: Secret Wars, placing the superhero film in after his stage work is complete.
