Max Verstappen took the Formula 1 sprint race at Marina Bay in Singapore on Saturday after race leader George Russell was eliminated by a crash in wet conditions. Verstappen also took pole for the main grand prix, rounding out a dominant day for the Red Bull driver.
A collision between Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll became a talking point during the sprint. After his win, Verstappen told reporters F1 should drop sprint races at circuits like Singapore, where overtaking is almost out of the question. The main race is set to take place Sunday.
