The NFL is phasing out the annual Pro Bowl match after 75 years. The league is ending the actual game, but star players will continue to be recognized. Players will continue to be named as Pro Bowlers to earn their yearly recognition.
Player honors will stay in place despite the cancellation of the event. However, alternates will no longer be acknowledged by the league. The move ends the 75 year history of the yearly event, but top players will continue getting their official Pro Bowl accolades each season.
