His third start came on 26 August 2026 when the Giants played against the Cincinnati Reds. Whitcomb hit his first home run since joining the Giants during that game.
That hit assisted the Giants claim victory that night. Fans liked his performance. He has played consistently since coming back up. The Giants intend to keep him in the regular lineup rotation.
