Disney has delayed Star Wars: Starfighter and transformed it into a television series. Shawn Levy will direct the project, which is expected to follow The Mandalorian's loose ties to the Star Wars universe. Jonathan Tropper wrote the script and believes that fans will welcome the series when it debuts. Disney has also paused all new Star Wars streaming shows for 12 months, clearing the path for this standalone series.
