Australian Radio Network reported a $28 million loss combined with a 14 percent revenue fall for its first half. Legal fees and boycotts connected to the Kyle and Jackie O program cost ARN $55 million. This figure included a $38 million charge for brand safety fallout. The network pointed to host Kyle Sandilands for the sharp decline in first-half revenue.
ARN chief Stephenson stated that the broadcaster lost metro revenue share rather than rivals taking it away. ARN confirmed both replacement shows will go ahead this year.
